Today there are a lot of youth around the world who want to make a change towards a more sustainable future. Renewable Energy is one of the fields where they really can make a difference. A lot of these youngsters are entrepreneurs in their infancy, but they lack knowledge of entrepreneurship and how to start a company of their own. They are also in need of contacts and a stable and trustworthy network.

The project Young Energy for the Future aim at supporting them with those issues. Through a series of EnergyCamps in the Baltic Sea region it will provide them with knowledge and inspiration to start up and develop business in renewable energy and energy saving solutions. A first pilot energy camp, financed by SI (Svenska Institutet), was held in Kalmar county, Sweden, this autumn where the participants visited different smart energy solutions, learned from positive examples from each other’s countries and came up with their own business ideas. The camp was very fruitful and will now be developed into a second tryout before the main project will set off. The goals of the main project will bet to:
